Virtual Meeting with Board members

6:30     Welcome and Call to Order:  Cathy Chinault

• May wait to combine June and July 2020 meetings – depending on what happens with school

6:35     Activities Director Report:   Dean Spahr      

• Been sending out senior shoutouts
• Graduation rehearsal tomorrow – walkthrough
• Just received approved to start spending money
• Schools closed down again until after 05/25/20 – no one in except the principals.  Graduation is the only thing allowed to happen on premises
• No dates can be determined until a future date.  Everything on hold

6:45     Officer updates:  Cathy, Rose, Jen, Lisa

• Lisa unable to attend. Financial reports sent to Dean and Cathy.  Balance as of April 30, 2020 $42,882.65
• Anyone interested in seeing the financial reports can talk to Lisa directly so they can be emailed. Lisa is going to email directly to the entire board.
• Boosters donated $1,600.00 to the senior class for the graduation programs
• After Prom is able to carry over approximately $4,500.00 to next year
• Hall of Fame 2020 Update extended the date for submission
• Teams that qualified for end of year money (Cathy recommended $250 per team due to low financials this year).  Lisa will write out the checks for the teams, Cathy will meet Dean and Dean will take care of distributing them.
• Scholarship video submitted to counseling department – Cathy, Jen, and Melissa met on Saturday and made the scholarship video. The list was emailed out to the board members.  $11,000.00 was given out in Scholarship money this year.

6:50     After-Prom:  Michelle

• Some Prizes are being given away this week
• The big prizes will be given away, the smaller prizes will be held until next year. There will be 20 prize bundles for the senior class and 3 prizes for the juniors
• Josten’s class of 2020 Hoodies
• Jen and Michelle are meeting Saturday 05/16/20 at 3pm to do a facebook live drawing.  Michelle will set up 2 pick up times to get the prizes.

7:00     Fundraising Update                                                   

• Car Show–postponed until Early August (Back to School) – once a date is narrowed down, then we will announce immediately. There are a lot of people still interested
• Mystery Dinner Theatre— has been mentioned to the administration.  Just can’t schedule anything at the schools for the time being
• Senior Package Update – about 18 seniors purchased items

7:05     Public Relations:  Jen Robinson/Melissa

• Everything new was reported earlier in the meeting
• “Hype” videos will not be done through Boosters.  If a parent decides to do this on their own and not connected to the Boosters then they are able.

7:10     Election of officers:  Virtual Vote

            Candidates nominated last month are:

            President:                    Cathy Chinault

            Vice President:           Rose Bryant

            Treasurer:                   Dawn Jeckell

            Secretary:                   Jen Robinson

The were not any additional nominations for the Officer Positions.  Caroline made a motion to vote all officers in as listed above.  There were several seconds.  All present were favor and none opposed. Cathy noted there was only ONE email received for the officer positions and those votes were for the above positions.  The Officer positions for the 2020-2021 School year are President – Cathy Chinault, Vice President – Rose Bryant, Secretary – Jen Robinson, Treasurer – Dawn Jeckell

NEW BUSINESS

Pepsi has picked up all of the old sodas in the concession stand.  Dean is going to double check the outside concessions and verify on Thursday 05/14/20.

Next meeting date is TBD. And is dependent upon the school re-opening. An email will come out with the next meeting date.
