6:30 Welcome and Call to Order: Cathy Chinault
6:35 Activities Director Report: Dean Spahr
- Hall of Fame was successful and Mr Cox was pleased with the new layout
- Coach Leigh – reported on “Stuff the Bus” – competition with all the county schools to help donations to the local food bank. November 15th is the last date. LHS won the county in numbers and weight.
- Boosters voted to donate $100
- Regional Golf appearance; Cheer was 1st in the District Mini, 3rd in Regionals; Field Hockey team is still undefeated and going for a regional title; Football is still undefeated, the Theater group just won a regional title.
- Meet the Coaches Night still has not been set but most likely the week of November 18th.
- Yard Signs – Boosters would like to do the signs again in the Spring for Graduation and Senior Activities. Dean is going to check with
6:40 Treasurer’s Report: Lisa Hord
- Reports were emailed to Officers. She discussed the reports she emailed.
- Total Balance = $23,732.10, Net Income $11,267.89
- If in Concessions – Booster Member tickets are 5 for $20; also exchange $10 cash for a roll of quarters
- If anyone would like a copy of the financial reports, then please email Lisa Hord directly and she will send them
6:45 Officer updates: Cathy, Rose, Jen, Lisa
- Cathy reported. Scholarship application – there are 12 hours of Booster related Community Service Activity. The Varsity Cheerleaders have already signed up to work basketball games to get their hours.
- Discussion regarding the Community Service hours will continue with the Officers and be finalized by the December meeting.
- Once the Application is sent to the Guidance office then it will be posted on social media.
- Hall of Fame – a plaque was shown, which will be hung up on the wall; the inductee was given a certificate to take with them; a letter from Mr. Cox was read, thanking the Boosters for the Hall of Fame.
- The Hall of Fame will fall on the last home game of every season
6:50 Membership Update: Dawn Jeckell
- Dawn bought an accordion file that will be stored in the concession stand to house Membership Cards for anyone that needs to pick it up
6:55 Concessions Update: Carolyn Leach / Joanna Reynolds
- Funnel Fries and Walking Tacos have been a major hit. Along with the Freedom Fries
- The burners have helped to keep water hot and allowed the group to keep up with all of the hot chocolate orders
7:05 Volunteer Update: Kim/Crystal
7:10 After-Prom – Michelle Clark
- Michelle reported.
- $767 from 50/50 raffles
- The Vendor Fair – February 1, 2020. There are currently 50 vendors signed up.
- Still looking for donations from local businesses. There was a $250 donation, Warrenton Toyota donated $500.
- It’s projected to cost $15,000
7:15 Fundraising Update
- The Golf Tournament – Postponed until Spring – this will be revisited in the winter – most likely on a Saturday in the Spring
- Bingo – November 23 – heavier snacks for concessions (fries, chicken tenders, etc)
- Rose will send an email out requesting donations for the Bingo event, as well as requesting the Booster volunteers
- Car Show – May 9th – Flyers are already
- Yard Signs – made almost $500 profit – looking to do this again in the Spring
7:15 Public Relations: Jen Robinson/Melissa
- Melissa mentioned having “Booster T-shirts” made to make it easier to spot Booster members at games
7:20 Merchandise Update: Rose Bryant
- Rose reported. The site has made $3,052 as of current date.
- Working out details for more options for picking up items.
- New items added: Hooded T-shirts, Long-sleeve V-neck T-shirts.
- Rose is looking to get more student involvement on the designs for new merchandise.
7:30 New Business
- There was no new business to discuss tonight.
